45.0 FUBAR - With Peter Carlone

45.0 FUBAR - With Peter Carlone

This week, Canadian Comedy Award Winner Peter Carlone joins Becky and a back from tour Cam! What would be a better choice for this Calgary-born sketch-comedy boy than the 2002 cult classic “Fubar”! We talk developing sketch and improv characters for long form projects, the mean streets of Calgary, budget allocation for destroying property, and early hipster mocking. Add to that a healthy chat about the inner workings of the Peter and Chris team, and you’re in for a good time. Check out Fubar on iTunes and turn up the good on your week.

Peter was born in Calgary BC. He has a BFA from the University of Victoria. He now resides in Vancouver, BC. Outside of Peter N ’ Chris Peter is a two time Jessie Award winning actor (The Foreigner, Hunter Gatherers), Film-maker, and video editor. He has directed several educational videos for Science World. Along with Chris, he is a writer for CBC Radio’s The Irrelevant Show, and the upcoming web-series White Ninja starring Paul Scheer (FX’s The League). Peter is also the Artistic Director of the Vancouver Sketch Comedy Festival, which will be going into its 3rd year, this January.

This week's Shrimpton Suggested Short is "I Thought I Told You To Shut Up!" By Charlie Tyrell.
