132.5 The Drawer Boy (2017) an interview with Arturo Pérez Torres and Richard Clarkin
This week, Becky sits down with filmmaker Arturo Pérez Torres and actor Richard Clarkin, to talk about their CSA nominated film, The Drawer Boy.
Based on the Governor General Literary Award winning play of the same name by Michael Healey, The Drawer Boy is a period drama set in 1972. It takes place on a farm in rural Ontario, where two farmers Angus and Morgan live a solitary life, as they deal with the memory issues Angus suffers from. When a young actor from Toronto shows up on their doorstep hoping to learn more about them for a theatre project, his questions and actions change everything for the three men forever.
Alternating between darkly comedic and emotionally poignant, you can catch The Drawer Boy streaming right now on Highball.tv
