165: Manborg (2011) with Ajay Fry

This week, we’ve got everyone’s favorite host of all things geeky - it’s Ajay Fry back on the show. Last time Ajay was on the show, he was assigned the movie “The Last Polka”. Well, Ajay has a new podcast, “Mistakes were Made” and so this was the perfect opportunity to have him on to talk about the movie he really wanted to bring on, 2011’s “Manborg.

Cheap, silly, gory and funny, Manborg isn’t going to be for everyone, but at a lean 75 mins it’s a blast that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. One of the first films from Astron 6, a film collective whose members would go on to work on Hannibal, Star Trek Discovery, Suicide Squad, the Void, and really a ton of other fancy stuff that shoots in Canada - this is a touchstone in Canadian Cinema.
